A legend of the British music scene, known for his diverse talents, who, along with Michael Nyman and Gavin Bryars, was active in the British experimental music scene of the 70s. He was also involved with The Flying Lizards for a time, and was active in bands such as "General Strike" with Steve Beresford and David Cunningham, and "The 49 Americans" with Lol Coxhill and Max Eastley. He is also a music critic who contributes to The Face, The Wire, and others, and released his first album from Brian Eno's Obscure label.
